Information we collect

Account information — your email address and any profile details you choose to add.
What you create — the prompts and settings you use, and the designs and on-skin previews you generate.
Photos you upload — for example, a reference image or a photo of where you want the tattoo. We don't store the original photos. They're sent to our AI providers to create your result and aren't kept by Tatts afterward.
Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your plan, payment status and billing country, but never your full card number.
Usage data — aggregated statistics about how people use the website, such as pages visited, device type and approximate country.
Messages you send us — for example, support emails.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information.
We don't use analytics to identify or follow individual people.
We don't publish your designs or uploads, or use them in marketing, without your permission.
We don't keep the original photos you upload.
We don't store full card numbers.

How we use your information

To run Tatts — create your account, generate your designs and keep them in your account.
To process payments and manage your subscription.
To send emails you need, like receipts and important account notices.
To send product news and offers — only if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To understand and improve the service using aggregated analytics.
To keep Tatts secure and prevent fraud and abuse.

Your designs and previews

To create a design or an on-skin preview, your prompt, settings and any uploaded photo are sent to our AI providers, and the result is returned to you. The designs and previews you create, including previews that show your uploaded photo, are saved to your profile until you delete them. They're used only to provide Tatts to you.

Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted providers to run Tatts. They process data only on our behalf and are required to protect it:

Stripe — payment processing.
Google Analytics — aggregated website statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Klaviyo and Resend — sending emails. Marketing emails only with your consent.
Hosting and storage providers — running the website and app and storing your account and designs.
fal.ai and Ideogram — AI image generation for your designs and previews.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect Tatts and its users.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and the service working. Google Analytics cookies are set only after you click Accept in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Data storage and retention

We keep your account and designs while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records for tax purposes. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the US and the EU, with appropriate safeguards in place.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and you can opt out of marketing emails at any time. Depending on where you live, for example in the EU, UK or California, you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. To make a request, email us at support@tatts.app. We'll respond within 30 days.

Children

Tatts is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know by email or in the app.
